New: Our Mallorcan walking holidays were recently recommended in the national Irish newspaper the Sunday Business Post, you can read the article here.
Come and enjoy the magic of walking in Spain. Our “Beautiful Villages of Mallorca” walking holiday allows you to experience the very best this wonderful region has to offer. Our walking holidays are based in the Sierra de Tramuntana on the beautiful Mediterranean Island of Mallorca.
The holidays are based along the famous “Dry Stone Path” or GR221 that makes its way through magnificent valleys and villages overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean. You can view photographs from our walking holidays in Mallorca in our Gallery.
The GR221 is a long distance walking route from Puerto d’Andratx in the south to Pollenca in the north and covers a distance of 145km. You can choose a four day and one week walking holiday along the route and they cover the central section between the villages of Banyalbufar and Soller. This section is where the most traditional villages are located, as well as being the section with the greatest access down to the sea, allowing for sea swims after your hike almost every day.
Our Self Guided Walking Holidays
We look after all the aspects of your walking holiday so that you can relax and take in the beauty of the countryside around you. We will meet you at Palma de Mallorca airport (PMI) and bring you to your first night’s guesthouse. Each day we also transport you luggage between the guesthouses. A delicious breakfast is provided each morning in addition to a packed lunch on days two and three. On your final day we will meet you at your guesthouse and bring you to Palma or Palma Airport for your return flight.
We also supply you with the walking notes, maps and guidebooks to make sure you get the most from your visit and have all your questions answered. Every evening there is a local (less than 5-10 minutes walk) restaurant or bar serving local specialities. Also supplied is a mobile phone that has the best coverage in the mountains and we are only a phone call away should you require backup or support during your trek.
We look after everything so that you can really enjoy your walking holiday in Mallorca.
About the Ruta de Pedra Sec in Mallorca
The route we have chosen is along the GR221 which is a distinct path that varies from mule track to broad cobbled path. It is well signposted in parts but walking notes are required for some of the sections. Due to the climate it is possible to walk year round but we recommend hiking between February and mid June and again from mid September till November. July and August are a bit too hot in Mallorca and while possible to walk mid winter many of the guesthouses close for a month or two at this time.
