The Kerry Way is deservedly Ireland’s most famous long distance walk as well as its longest. This 215km walking route loosely follows the route of the famous Ring of Kerry drive. Starting and finishing in the magnificent Killarney national park this walk has everything. From stunning lakes with dramatic mountain backdrops to hidden valleys, panoramic ocean views and forest clad rivers, this walk has it all.
Kerry is known for having the highest mountain range in Ireland, the MacGillycuddy Reeks and the Kerry Way passes close to Carrauntoohil, the highest mountain in Ireland. The full Kerry Way can take between nine to fourteen days to walk and as a result we have put together two different types of walking holiday for the Kerry Way. The first is our Kerry Way Mountaineer walking holidays for those who wish to walk between 20-30km (12-18 miles) a day and then there is our Kerry Way Rambler walking holidays for those who wish to walk between 10-20km (6-12 miles) a day. You can see full details on each of these holidays below.
Note: For those wishing to take a rest day, we can recommend Cahersiveen. As well as having plenty of pubs and restaurants it offers easy access to Valentia Island and boats to Skellig Michael, one of only two World Heritage Sites in Ireland. Just let us know and we can include the rest day in your itinerary. Skellig Islands Boat trips that land on the Island run from late May to the end of September each year. These need to be booked directly with the boat operators. You can see a list of each of the operators at Skellig Boat Operators.

the countryside around you. We will meet you at Kerry airport or Killarney

Each day we also transport your luggage between the guesthouses. A full Irish breakfast is provided each morning, and we provide packed lunches when there are no convenient local options.

We also supply you with the latest up-to-date weatherproof walking notes, maps and guidebooks to make sure you get the most from your visit. Dinner is included at the Black Valley & Glencar as there is no restaurant or pub serving food nearby. Also supplied is an Irish Sim Card for your cell phone with unlimited local calls and we are only a phone call away should you require backup or support during your trek. We can also supply you with use of complimentary hiking poles if required.
